QB Generator is a self-hosted system when the whole system and it's infrastructure runs inside Docker containers - no need to worry about the setup, version dependencies, and updates - everything comes as an easy to install package. All of the popular operating systems support Docker and its configuration is extremely simple.

There is no need to have Internet access for internal use; for exam processing, you will need a network server and a client connection.

For internal use, you must have a server, a router/switch, and computers connected to this server.

Here at QB Generator we are giving providing high-level security while you are conducting your exam.

  • Safe Exam Browser - a simple .exe file properly configured for the client. Located on the computer on which the exam is being conducted. After opening it, the user goes to a simplified browser that "kills" other functions/accesses in the background
  • Restrict IP access - login only to the given place
  • Limited to one session on a given login
  • Exam timer (with pause option) - the device's sleep mode does not stop the counter
  • Unique Examinee password per exam – it is changed after the exam.
  • Dedicated customer instance on the local server, under a dedicated URL, e.g. AviationAcademyName.qbgenerator.com)

QB Generator has a mechanism to create and restore backup handily


Yes, the backup data is stored on the server where the user can specify the path, but it can be made only on the local server.


The data is stored on the servers 5 years, or more according to the arrangements made with the client.


Yes you have access to past exams all the time.

Yes, while creating an exam, you’ll need to set time and date for an exam.


The browser is irrelevant. QB works fast and efficiently, on any browser, Firefox, Chrome, etc.

In addition, no matter the browser, we recommend you using the SEB (Safe Exam Browser) for security purposes, as this is the safest way to conduct exams:

Yes, with the administrator access you’ll have the possibility to edit questions and not only that:

  • Record Facility Index (a percentage indicator calculated on the number of examinees who answer the question correctly)
  • List and sort questions by Module, Subsection or alphanumeric
  • Copy or Move questions to other Modules
  • Grade Questions by Knowledge Level 1,2 or 3
  • Search and Filter questions (options: Subsection, word string, Licence Category (A, B1, B2, etc.), Difficulty Level (1, 2 or 3), approved/not approved)
  • Add diagrams/figures and special characters (e.g. Greek) to questions
  • Language Approval system for questions (optional)
  • Periodic questions review alert (optional)
  • Have the content approval system for questions (optional)

Yes, with QB Generator you can upload new questions and even more:

Yes, you can store Essay questions and print Essay question exams on the Basic version.


QB Generator is already in use by several EASA Part-147 approved organizations, and it is enabling them to manage questions, exams, trainees and their results. As such, it has been assessed by local National Aviation Authorities (NAAs) and is acceptable as a tool to be used within a Part-147 approved infrastructure.
